What do you do to be involved in the community?
I’ve always believed that real value isn’t just measured in properties but it’s built through relationships, trust, and community.

3 years ago, I had the opportunity to give back to our Filipino community here in South Florida by organizing a month long basketball league that brought together players of all ages.

From our Pee Wee division to Open, Seniors, and even Super Seniors, we had participants ranging from 7 to 73 years old.
Basketball has always been part of who we are as Filipinos. It’s more than just a game, it’s how we connect, unwind, and stay grounded no matter where we are in the world.
Every Sunday, the court became a place where families, friends, and even new acquaintances came together. What made it even more special was seeing different generations share the same space, the same passion, and the same energy.

To make the experience more engaging, I also shared updates online by posting announcements, short interviews with players, and features with our generous sponsors who helped make the event possible.
Coming from California, I knew South Florida had a smaller Filipino population. But this experience showed me something important: it’s not about the size of the community but it’s about how connected we are.
This initiative turned out to be more than just a league. It became a way for us to reconnect, de-stress, and strengthen bonds. It is something we all need, especially living far from home.

And in many ways, this is also what I aim to do in my work. It’s about helping clients invest back in the Philippines or guiding them through real estate decisions, it’s always about creating meaningful connections and long-term value.
