I have never considered myself an organized person. Deadlines and quotas, however, have always brought out a different side of me. When there is a target to hit, I make it a point to deliver.
Working in sales my entire adult life, I have grown used to operating in chaos. You juggle multiple tasks at once, constantly shifting priorities, and trying to keep everything moving forward. That kind of environment can easily become overwhelming. Add quotas into the mix, and the pressure only intensifies. But there is something deeply satisfying about reaching a goal that once felt impossible. At that point, it is no longer just about the money…it is about winning.
A recent situation reminded me of the importance of focus. I was planning two client events in California, one in San Diego and another in Los Angeles. Both locations are important to me, filled with clients who have trusted me with their hard-earned investments in overseas properties.
Initially, I believed I could manage both. But after taking a step back and evaluating the workload, I realized that dividing my attention would weaken both events. Instead of maximizing results, I risked compromising the experience for everyone involved.
So I made a decision. I paused the Los Angeles event and committed fully to San Diego.

Sometimes, success is not about doing more… it is about doing what matters most and doing it well.
I am looking forward to the San Diego event, not just for the business opportunity, but for the chance to reconnect with clients who have become friends. In the end, that is the real reward.
